Our focus is on learning self-defense and bully-prevention methods while improving fitness, creating a fun experience to encourage your child to enjoy exercise, improving your child's concentration and determination, practicing social skills, good sportsmanship and respect for others. We utilize a positive feedback reinforcement approach to encourage the learning process and help your child gain self-focus and self-discipline.
The curriculum includes Self-Defense, Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Bully Prevention skills, and Fitness. Students participate in exercises, drills, games, techniques, controlled sparring, and stretching. Also covered are conflict-resolution, verbal self-defense, safety tips and a value of the week, such as awareness, respect and teamwork.

We have a full curriculum and rank system with periodic skill tests. Classes are carefully structured and supervised by multiple Coaches and Assistants, both male and female. We really enjoy teaching kids!

We emphasize self-defense while also including sport aspects for fun and fitness. Our techniques are very effective and practical against all verbal and physical confrontations. Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and sport with both standing and ground skills that focuses on grappling aspects. The goal is to safely gain a dominant position and use structurally sound holds to control an opponent. It allows a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique to successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant. For kids we focus on self-protection, body movements and positioning that can be nonviolently used for bully-defense while building a strong foundation for adding more advanced techniques as the child gains knowledge.
